The soft sheen of titanium of the main drivers herald KEF's signature and patented Uni-Q® 'point source' array. Using aerospace technology the tweeter is mounted in the precise acoustic centre of the midrange cone, enabling both to act as a single point source that disperses the sound evenly throughout the room.
Each KEF Uni-Q driver is accompanied by a long throw bass driver of the same size and housed in sleek curved cabinets. Inspired by the latest Reference Series and designed to minimise box colourations from internal acoustic reflections.
Where the new KEF iQ7SE model differs is on the inside, and this is where the engineering excellence of KEF's acoustic engineers has paid off. With over three decades of acoustic modelling, the expertise of KEF's engineers has resulted in the redesign of the internal structure and re-voicing of both. Unlike the previous versions, which only used part of the cabinet volume, the new KEF iQ7SE speakers are configured with the Uni-Q and bass drivers working together to take full advantage of the total cabinet volume. To complement this configuration the crossovers have been completely redesigned and upgraded.
The result, the KEF iQ7SE deliver a sound stage that is both more exciting and entertaining than before, with their extended bass response and greater overall efficiency.
